Beef Bulgogi

Ingredients:
- 1 pound beef sirloin or ribeye, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon rice wine or mirin
- 1 green onion, sliced
- 1/2 carrot, julienned
- 1/2 bell pepper, sliced
- Sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions:
- Marinate the Beef: In a large bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, black pepper, and rice wine. Add the beef and mix well. Cover and let marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- Prepare the Vegetables: While the beef is marinating, slice the green onion, julienne the carrot, and slice the bell pepper.
- Cook the Beef: Heat a large skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef (discard excess marinade) and cook for 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the beef is browned and cooked through.
- Add Vegetables: Add the sliced green onion, carrot, and bell pepper to the skillet. Stir-fry for an additional 2-3 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
- Serve: Transfer the beef and vegetables to a serving dish and garnish with sesame seeds. Serve with steamed rice or lettuce wraps.
Notes:
For an authentic flavor, you can use gochujang (Korean chili paste) for some heat. Adjust the amount based on your spice preference.
